I love any excuse to use my air fryer, and this recipe is no exception. These banana chips are sweet, chewy, and crunchy and are perfect for an anytime snack. The best part? They’re made with ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen, so no having to leave the house to go grocery shopping. I made these in my pj’s and fuzzy socks.
All you’ll need to make these are two or three bananas, cinnamon, brown sugar, and olive oil. For the bananas, I would recommend slightly underripe ones as they’ll hold their shape better when cooking. Make sure you thoroughly coat your air fryer crisper with cooking spray, so you’re not cursing at the little suckers trying to scrape them off when they’re finished.

Thinly slice the underripe bananas approximately 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick, then pour in the olive oil to coat. Then, mix in the brown sugar and cinnamon as gently as possible. From here, you’re going to spread them out on the air fryer crisper tray as much as you can.
Try to not let the banana pieces touch each other and spread them out as much as you can. If some of the pieces overlap it’s totally fine, but they do tend to stick together after cooking. I ended up doing two separate batches to allow for spacing. Let them cook in the air fryer at 350F for 9 minutes.

After cooking, carefully flip them over to cook the other side an additional 7 minutes. I would recommend using a pair of tongs or a spatula to flip them as the air fryer tray will be extremely hot. Once these are finished, let them cool completely before enjoying.
